Meet who is behind the scene at HBVS & Groom Guru

June 2021 is the start of a new adventure in an industry I am deeply passionate about.  I started in way back in 2000 working as a vet nurse, in London, for seven years and even now, still do the occasional locum or emergency shift.  The time spent learning the veterinary trade, from the ground up, motivated me to move in 2006 onto a sales role joining the TRM team based in Ireland.  I was tasked with the job to build their small animal range, from scratch, for the UK market.  I thrived on the challenge of building the range whilst establishing strong relationships for over 14 years and resulting in a high level of service and success for the company.  I loved my time at TRM and I was very happy there, devoting my career path to the company… most likely until retirement!  However in April 2021, just over a year into a worldwide pandemic, thanks to COVID-19, redundancy loomed.

I take pride in understanding my clients needs and I have been very fortunate to build close customer and colleague relationships, being welcomed to the practice more as a guest or a friend than a sales representative.  I valued and respected their advice and it was from their support and encouragement that HBVS and Groom Guru was born.  Support from within the industry has been amazing and with the help and love of family, Sophie (my better half), friends, clients and over 21 years experience, I guarantee the experience HBVS and HBGG offers will be the same high level of dedication, support and service for both existing and new clients.

I offer a range of veterinary exclusive supplements available to veterinary clinics across the UK (and further if required), under the HBVS brand.  A separate professional grooming range of designer colognes and shampoos is also available under the Groom Guru brand all available now and ready to deliver by me personally or via our fulfilment centre with next day delivery.  Please take a moment to check out the carefully selected range on the Products page.

The HBVS and Groom Guru Team look forward to meeting, greeting and welcoming you all to a new brand and company built on a heritage of vet supply expertise.  I am of course always contactable by phone, email, WhatsApp or social media if you have any questions or just want to say “hello” and arrange a coffee.

What about outside of the veterinary industry?

I live in Surrey with my longterm partner, Sophie and our cat Figaro.  Have a keen interest in steam trains and am the Business Development Manager for the only printed Mobile DJ magazine in the UK.

Many of you will also know that outside of the veterinary industry that I have my own entertainment company.  In fact, I have performed for many of you outside of my sales role in clinic waiting rooms, private gardens and venues covering everything from end of year staff parties to weddings or a down and funky set where we even had a call from the covering emergency clinic with a complaint that the ‘closed vet clinic’ was rather loud at 2am!

Things like this just build that relationship between us and as one nurse regularly tells me… she always asks competitor companies if they will also DJ in their waiting room for a staff party at the end of year?

So if you are planning a clinic open day, dog show, getting married or just want a post covid ‘shindig’, then check out my events website here.
