What is ION-Tech and How Does it Work?
ION-Tech works by harnessing the power of Bipolar Ionisation.
Our technology sterilises the air by firstly splitting molecules that are found in the air around us into positive and negatively charged ions.
These charged atoms and Ions are then released to seek and destroy harmful substances and pathogens including mould, viruses, bacteria, and even allergens like pollen.
This process occurs when the positive and negative ions surround air particles during bipolar ionisation.
Once the hydrogen is pulled away from the structure of the viral protein coat, the virus is neutralised and therefore no longer infectious.
ION-Tech uses bipolar ionisation splits to create larger air particles that are then removed from the air. Bipolar ionisation splits molecules in the air like water vapour into positively and negatively charged ions. These opposite charges attract one another to form a compound.
Bipolar ionisation creates ions using air molecules like water vapour (gas form of liquid water). When the high energy of the machine hits water vapour molecules, they will split into O2- and H+, similar to when it breaks into H+ and OH-. These will sometimes recombine into reactive hydroxyl radicals (OH) capable of removing hydrogen from other molecules.
Positive and negative ions surround air particles during bipolar ionisation. As larger air particles move towards the building’s air filter, they are removed from the air. Air particles that include pathogens cause the ions pull hydrogen away from the pathogen.
Hydrogen plays a crucial role in the structure of a viral protein coat. One hydrogen is pulled away from the protein coat, the virus can no longer infect.
